The 2004 Lecture Series, “The Challenges of Leadership in the 21st Century,” focused on the many policy challenges we face as a nation and the response of our leaders to these critical issues. In addition, the final lecture of the year looked at the crises presently facing the state of California and assessed the dilemmas awaiting California in the future. The featured speakers for 2004 were former Congressman Richard Gephardt, former Senator George Mitchell, Senator Hilary Rodham Clinton, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Senator Fred Thompson, and Tony Snow of Fox News.
