Required experience: executive support; calendaring; event planning and coordination; professional phone manner; ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
Primary duties: managing schedules and calendars; assist in planning and organizing programs and activities; communicating with outside partners; organizing meetings/events and maintaining agendas; managing multiple electronic and hard copy files; drafting correspondence and other products; retrieving and compiling complex information.
Full-time position with schedule flexibility and periodic overtime due to programmatic needs; bachelor’s degree required and five years relevant experience preferred.

The Panetta Institute offers an opportunity for volunteers to contribute meaningful service to the community, largely by becoming involved in the Institute’s longest-running program, Monterey County Reads.
Volunteers for the Monterey County Reads program serve at elementary schools throughout the county, working with Panetta Institute staff members to participate in regular one-to-one reading sessions with selected children in first through third grades. Volunteers are sponsored by members of the Monterey County Reads Consortium, which includes businesses, schools, faith-based organizations, non-profits, service clubs and other groups, and undergo orientation and training by Panetta Institute personnel.
