2002: Crisis in the 21st Century – Challenges and Impact on American Life

 

The theme for the 2002 Panetta Lecture Series was “Crisis in the 21st Century – Challenges and Impact on American Life.”

In the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks, the series discussed our nation’s reaction and response to the new realities of terrorism and war. A diverse group of speakers considered the implications of the attack on our nation’s security, budget and civil liberties.
