1999: The Information Age Revolution – Impact of Technology on the 21st Century

The theme for the 1999 Panetta Lecture Series was “The Information Age Revolution – Impact of Technology on the 21st Century.”

The series considered the impact of the growing influence of the media on our democracy including the phenomenon of the Internet along with increased access and a new variety of information. The season featured technological innovators; media experts from film and print; and policy leaders for unique discussion on the new technological frontier with its impact on the future of our nation.
